Going green plays a big part in society today, and many in the fashion industry have followed suit. A brand called PACT makes every day basics for men and woman such as socks, t-shirts, underwear, and baby onesies by using sustainable methods.
PACT makes certain that they are as clean and responsible as possible during the entire process-- from cotton fields to the finished product.
The socks are made with organic yarns at a factory in Turkey that is powered by wind energy. The cotton for the underwear and t-shirts is organic.
PACT chose factories that are committed to making organic clothing in sweat-shop-free facilities which they visit several times a year. All PACT packaging is printed on vegetable based inks on paper from controlled wood and the plastic bags they use are biodegradable.

With any purchase of their products, a portion of the proceeds benefit specific causes such as creating jobs for the homeless and establishing food gardens in low-income urban communities. The Fall 2013 collection is inspired by small businesses and every purchase helps fund micro-loans for low income entrepreneurs who want to start their own businesses. Beginning this fall PACT is also going to sell leggings made out of organic-cotton. They are responsibly knitted in a 100 percent wind-powered factory and come in three versions; regular, footed, and cropped. The leggings come in solids, print, and ombre designs and are priced from $18 to $38.
If you are interested in this sustainable brand with a cause, you can shop PACT online or in store. Check out www.wearpact.com for the nearest location near you. There are three locations in Georgia with two being in Atlanta and the other in Tucker. Clothes are a necessity, so why not buy clothes that better people’s lives and the earth’s?

They are committed to choosing vendors who abide by earth-friendly manufacturing processes and fair treatment of workers.
