There are certain trends that will never go out of style; one being the ever popular color combination of black and white.
This season we saw the dynamic duo in many of the couture runway shows. It is definitely a classic that can't be overlooked, and can be flattering on everyone. Black and white can take you from the office, to the mall, to the interview, to date night, and everywhere else in between.
From leather to head pieces, to the always popular black and white striped motifs from the Houses of Marc Jacobs and Alexander Wang, its safe to say this trend is here to stay.

Straight Leg Jeans

Skinny jeans what? Leave them in 2012 and add a different style of jeans to your wardrobe--Straight-leg jeans. Straight-legged jeans are more adaptable for whatever shoe and top combination that you may have in mind.
They are easier to wear and are easier to take off, whereas with skinny jeans you have to dance a little to put them on. Here is a shoe and top combination for the straight-legged style.

Prabal Gurung
From the Runway to Your Closet
by: Niya Euwing
This season, renowned fashion designer Prabal Gurung has paired up with Target and created an 80-piece collection of accessories, apparel and footwear in hard-hitting brights and flashy florals.
The New York-based designer, who has dressed Michelle Obama and Kate Middleton, will have pieces starting at $19.99 to $199.99. The limited-edition collection is available at all Target locations and www.target.com, with several online exclusives until March 23.
When designers pair up with companies such as target and H&M, to produce a collection, this is their opportunity to have their line distributed in thousands of stores across the country. Gurung’s collaboration is the most anticipated collection since Target’s disappointing holiday turn-out with Neiman Marcus.
They key is to create a line that stays true to your aesthetic and trends for the season, but can appease to the masses. This is just what Prabal Gurung did; creating a collection that anyone can wear, no matter what the occupation.

Nanette Lepore
Future Party on Mars
By Angel Harmon
Listing Michelle Obama as one of her fans, Nanette Lepore has become one of the most talked about designers at New York Fashion Week. The international designer uses ‘moody tones and spacey surfaces,’ including early images of the rover on Mars as inspiration for her Fall 2013 collection. Although the pieces are beautifully familiar, you can see where she added nude fabrication and punches of hologram leather to make her collection young and very appealing to the eye.
Nanette Lepore is thinking of expanding her brand to children and men’s wear collections, as well as continuing the newly in-house handbag and shoe production.

Not only will Lepore be launching another line in about 6 months, but she has an exclusive junior’s line at JC Penny called L’Amour. Inspired by her 14 year old daughter, Violet, the collection consists of bright, bold, affordable and edgy pieces. What I love most about L’Amour is the mars inspired skinny jeans, which I feel like were a sneak peek at her fall ready-to-wear collection.
This is definitely one of my favorite collections that I’ve seen thus far from Nanette, and I’m in love!
